I'd like to present an outline of where I currently see the shape and direction of the blog. The title "Ervin Locklear: Life, Career, and Me" is meant to be all-encompassing. I want to share professionally and personally with an audience, offering useful information and insights and engaging in healthy dialogue. I ask for your advice, guidance, support and encouragement...as well as patience and understanding as I learn and make mistakes.
My professional career has been in healthcare, primarily as a Healthcare Administrator. "Career" is the central theme of the blog with "Life" and "Me" as anchors. My intent is to categorize posts into one of these labels. Following is a brief description of the themes I anticipate for developing posts and building "Healthcare Administrator: Life, Career, and Me".
Life: Experiences, insights, and events in work and social settings. When I created my Twitter bio, emphasized areas were Healthcare Administration, travel, basketball, music and family. I foresee identifying and sharing depth of these subjects, meaning, and significance in my "Life".
Career: Planned focus is career topics relevant to Healthcare Administration, Hospitals, and those employed in health and medical services. Pace of information and technology is, pick a descriptive...rapid, mind-boggling, overwhelming? I am interested in the healthcare debate and emerging tools for professional development and information management (listed topics of interest). Specific desire is to distill and share resources which will benefit your "Career".
- Career Management
- Social Media
- Personal Branding
- Job Search
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Me: Putting "Me" in the blog title is a struggle (seems conceited) so I trust you'll understand as the posts develop. Several recent insights have helped to reconcile my conflict. Life has been phases and transitions, meaning distance from family and friends while others pass through my life. I am an introvert and realize few know me well (responsibility is mine), I want this opportunity to strengthen bonds with family and friends, build connections with peers, and develop new relationships. Posts here will reflect personal character, beliefs, and values..."Me".
